Pathways to Progress

"Homework is such a battle in our house. Our child ends up crying and discouraged. We end up annoyed. It makes it really hard to get her to sit down and do her homework."
"My child's teacher said his reading is a Level D and most of the class is at a Level G. I am not even sure what that means!"
Tutoring Services
When a student is having difficulty in school, it is not necessarily indicative of a learning disability. Each student has their own strengths and weaknesses, and develops at their own rate. Few students get through school without one or more areas of challenge. These struggles can be as broad as a whole subject area or as narrow as a particular unit. If you find your student having academic difficulties, extra help is often the best first course of action to take; many times, the additional assistance and time is all it takes to remedy the problem.
I offer tutoring sessions uniquely designed and prepared for each individual student. My approach is to offer a methodology geared toward the student's learning style that is fun, engaging and varied throughout the session. Through both structured traditional learning tasks and modern technology, my students not only improve their skills, but also their confidence in themselves as a learner. My sessions are flexible in terms of scheduling, duration, and location. *
"My child is losing his confidence because he is not doing well on tests. He could really use some better studying and organizational skills."
"How can I help my daughter with this new math program? It is so different from the way I learned."

*At the present time, I am offering virtual/phone, outdoor in-person, and indoor in-person sessions as long as all adults are fully vaccinated. I am fully vaccinated as of March 2021.
