Educational Advocacy

Typically, there is no one better than a parent to represent the best interests of their child. However, the laws, procedures, and obstacles that are involved in developing and maintaining an appropriate education plan for a child with a learning disability are complex and often overwhelming. As a non-attorney advocate, I have both the personal and professional experience to support families with all facets of the special education process.

My services include representation and guidance through any and all steps in the development or improvement of your child's education plan. No matter where you are along your journey, I will support you. I bring to the table specific training in the field of advocacy, a solid understanding of the relative rights and laws pertaining to special education, as well as many years of experience teaching in the Massachusetts public schools.  With my skill set and your unique and intimate knowledge of your child and his/her/their needs, I will faithfully work with you to advocate for a plan designed to support your child's individual educational requirements and to provide her/him/them with the appropriate services and accommodations for the best possible outcomes.
